Even — Custody Calendar ("Even," "the app") is a scheduling tool that helps two parents share custody nights fairly. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We've kept it in plain language on purpose.
Who We Are
Even is operated by Casey Binstadt. You can reach us at casey@coparentingwithpeace.com with any privacy question or request.
What Information Even Collects
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address. This identifies you inside your household so both parents' devices know who made which change. We never see your Apple or Google password.
- Household content. This is the core of the app, and it's yours: your rotation pattern, the custody schedule, per-night notes, parent names, and swap requests ("can I take your Tuesday?"). This information is stored so both parents' phones stay in sync.
- Device push token. If you allow notifications, Apple gives the app a device token so our server can tell your phone when a swap needs your reply. This token contains no personal content and can be revoked anytime by turning off notifications for Even.
That's the complete list. Even collects no location data, no contacts, no photos, no analytics or crash-reporting data, no advertising identifiers, and no payment information (the app is free and has no purchases).
How Your Information Is Used
- To sync the schedule and swaps between the two parents in your household.
- To deliver push notifications you've opted into.
- To show your name inside your household.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. There is no tracking, and there are no ads in Even.
Where Your Information Lives
Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare, Inc.) that powers the sync between the two parents' devices. It is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Who Can See Your Household
Only the two parents in your household. Each household is isolated; other users of the app cannot see, search, or access your schedule. You access your data only after signing in.
How Long We Keep It
Your household data is kept as long as your household exists. You can delete it at any time:
- Leave household: Settings → Household → Leave Household removes you from the household.
- Full deletion: email casey@coparentingwithpeace.com from the email on your account and ask us to delete your account and household data. We'll confirm once it's done.
Your Rights
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time, by emailing casey@coparentingwithpeace.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EEA/UK), you may have additional rights under local law — we honor them all through the same email address.
Children
Even is rated 13+ and is intended for adults — specifically, parents coordinating their children's schedules. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The children mentioned in a household's schedule are referred to only by whatever name the parents enter; the app does not collect birthdates or any other information about children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also note it inside the app.
